Iban Barrenetxea

Iban was born in Elgoibar in 1973. After a decade dedicated to graphic design, he began his career in illustrated books in 2010. Since then, he has illustrated more than a dozen books, and has also authored the text for three of them. He was awarded the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava 2011, the Euskadi Literary Awards 2012 & 2013, and was shortlisted for the Junceda Award and the Korean CJ Picture Book Awards. His work was also included in the 2013 White Ravens list.
